Kpower wrote:Hi,
I as the title says I have trouble with checksums on a dpf off for my volvo s40 edc16c34 1.6d 2008.
I managed to read the ECU in BDM and I found and modified the dpf switch in Winols. Now the problem is that the car starts but I get an error code saying: "ECM fault: wrong checksum".
I have attached the modified and original files, Is my file ok?
Many thanks in advance.

I use a Galletto v54 in BDM, should I try to not correct the checksums when the tool asks me to before writing?

Maybe your tool is not correcting correctly, sometimes this happens

It's a shame because I tested the car today and dpf wise it worked flawlessly, no regens and no wrong pressure codes. It just shows a code like in the picture and despite that it starts and no lights are showing in the dashboard. I'm tempted to leave it like that for now but I'm scared that it might randomly not start. Could it be a Volvo specific problem?

Here is the picture I was talking about. Sorry for the quality.

Could be worth a try..

Yes, I tried but I get the same result. Maybe I should try to do a "write all", with the modified flash and original eeprom combined and see if that works.
