Hi!

Could this be a sheer accident? I have read this ECU with Kess clone, tuned and flashed back via OBD and everything was fine.

Update:
Bought Galletto v54 and it's ok for SID803A both OBD and BDM.
Just a WARNING though..
Please check the Siemens adapter that comes with Galletto before putting it on the ECU!
I received two siemens adapters and both were bad! The first one had pins 1 and 2 short circuited, and the second one had pins 6 and 7 short circuited.
That is because the copper pads are very little and very close to each other and most of all because they are chinese!
So always check your connections with a multimeter.

these ecus are a pig, you can only read by bdm. if you use cmd (genuine) you can get an ori file from their database, make your adjustments and write it through obd.

SID803A can be read via OBD, but SID803 NOT.
