Hi Everybody

I am tuning my seat pd130. It is my first tune but im not quite sure about the N75 Map. I have read the edc15_rev1.3 which says that you can increase the value (closing tha n75 valve) at high I.Q. by 8% but if you compares the pd130 N75 map and the PD150 N75 map you can see an increase of 30% somewhere. Are there any calculation or rules that you can use for the N75 Map??

could it be beacause the edc15 tuning guide are talking about the value are 8%higher and the comparisation are talking about the difference/increase are 30% higher than normal. (somewhere only 1-2% value)?

if you log the car you will see how it works. the n75 is always open at it max at low rpm and it closes as the rpm builts to stop overboosting. so if you look at the values you will see that they are low like 20 25 at low arm and they increase to 80 in the max rpm.

so if you want more boost you decrease the values.
if you want less boost you increase the values.

Actually it's vice versa. On low rpms geometry is closed, on high rpm's it opens.

Sorry but that doesn't make sense in my head.

At the comparisation i linked to it says that "80% is turbo vanes positioned for maximum boost. Approximately 20% is turbo vanes positioned for zero boost" But you say that i have to decrease the value for more boost??

I Think that i have to increase the values to get more boost - Are there any rule or calculation that says how much i need to increase the values to get (for an example) 100mbar extra boost at a specific rpm and IQ? - or is it just try to increase a bit?

just remember that edc15 and edc16 works the opposite way around

i do not agree with you mate. tell me once the rpm rises and the boost increases what stops the turbo from going sky high? as the rpm increases the boost is controlled via the veigns closing to be able to control the boost. if it doesnt closes and it keeps on opening there are no way the boost will be controlled.

this have been tested so many times mate feel free to go and test it yourself. go and set a edc15p n75 to 100 and see what happens you will have no boost whatsoever why because in edc15p 100 percent is closed and 0 percent is open. if you do not agree with me you should really go and do some more reading and maybe go and log some cars. in edc16 it is the other way around where 100 is open and 0 is closed.

that is the way it works in edc16 mate edc15p works the other way around.
