what is the exact difference? Limping is when the engine power and revs are cut drastically, safe mode is when the engine is shut down because of some problems?

According to my experience, yes, its quite that.

Never happened with your engine? I only eard this engine off situation on PSA's, but i talk more with persons who drive PSA's ;)

I had my engine cut off abruptly once, probably because of a blocked injector. But never had limp mode.

I do not understand what you mean. It is possible to solder two chips on the same board and have a switch between them. You can have a low fuel consumption map on one and a high performance map on another for example.

It was possible on old ECUs with old small number of pins on chip. There was pin that was supplied with 12V and you could put switch between...on old ecu :)

I do not know the one single example that someone did it like this on newest ecus  .

In Italy a tuner called GoriMotors does it.

Geesh posted this weeks ago - honestly no one knownwhat these values or acronyms mean?

Surely one of the more advanced guys know this? Please help - WINOLS is showing me these in a map pack I purchased in German, which I translated, but obviously the acronyms remain the same, as above.

I would love to know what all these mean if anyone knows.

Thanks

Hello,
There is a software called "KP Translator" that allows you to translate everything. On Youtube you will explain how you use it for files damos German translated into English. I have not managed to find "KP Translator" on the web, but if you arrive there you, do not hesitate to share ...

Cordially.
