New!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Christian. I have a 2002 New Beetle TDI ALH 90hp 5 speed and am really eager to get started on learning how to tune these diesels. I am mainly into tuning N/A application GM vehicles and have had a lot of experience with that. What would you guys recommend as the best beginners software? I am currently playing around with VAGEDCsuite. WINOLS seems very confusing. Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Christian

Hi Christian,

I'm also pretty new in the world of diesel tuning. So far the most common software seem to be WinOLS and TunerPro. With TunerPro though, you will need a .xdf file for your car to be able to edit the maps.

You can find some pretty good WinOLS info on Youtube from vagecumap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6AAh_Vgf5A
