Darkvador, you are right, boost in itself will not produce power, the increase in mass airflow will ;)

This is only true if you also increase the injected amount of fuel and the intake air temperatur is not increasing to high...

Boosting the Turbo to much will raise the intake air temperatur thus leading to negative effekts.

On diesel engines one incrases boost pressure to get increased mass airflow. More air means you are able to inject more fuel smokefree.

If you dont change your intake air cooler boosting to much decreases power and is not healty for your engine...

With this information if you increase your turbo map around 6% on upper fuel injection rates you also have to increase your injected fuel depending on the air mass you gained of your boost.

I have been seeing a map on an A4 115HP AJM (GT1749V) with 1.6 bar, the car was running for 1.5 year with that (400nm and pushed every day) and then started to make some noise :). So if you have a couple of turbos home or you want to make some experiments you can run even with 1.6 for a while (it is also depending on the condition of the turbo).

Stock values for AWX 131PS PD are 2400mbar boost limiter and 2350mbar boost target.
In my opinion 2550mbar should be possible without any problems.

Sure can use more boost, but if turbo spiking that's will reduce their life. If all ok, can increase boost, but needed remember, higher boost don't give you more power.

I have a Seat Alhambra 1.9 TDi PD 115 AUY Engine, with the GT1749V.

Im currently running 27.5psi (1.9 bar) for some time now with no issues, pretty much stock besides a polished head and EGR delete.
I work on the car myself and plan to go further soon, as time allows

Currently getting around 160bhp at the wheels.

Well on stock turbo its too much yes you will blow your turbo, however we have a track tdi, boosting 1.5 to 1.8 bar with a TB025 turbo off a nissan torrano 2, fitted a T3 manifold cast, waste turbo switched off vacuum system on map, running waste gate turbo. we tuned ourself set Launch limiter at 2800rpm and rpm cut at 4300rpm and we currently pushing 193kw on this one stock engine and stock injectors.

I have GT1756, running 1.3 bar stock. I'm not running it much more at the moment, but am thinking of replacing a MAP with 3-bar (stock is 2.5 bar) and turning it up just a little bit...
