Locked ? ECU SEAT IBIZA 130 ASZ

Postby johnnym » Mon Mar 10, 2014 4:05 pm

Hi, I purchased a 'stock' ecu (038906019DQ) from ebay to have a play around with. I have already set immo off successfully and drove the car. It is a bit quicker but nothing too write home about...

I tried to pull the flash off to compare to my original ecu because of the difference in performance but MPPS will only read the first 192kb

Could the ecu have been remapped by a pro tuner and locked. Is there any way to unlock to see if the remap is any good as I don't know its origin, or confirm that it has been locked....

If not I have read my original ecu so can flash it with that, to get me back on track.

Thanks for your help.

ecu is protected by MPPS

in file you have text 'No read file has been encrypted'

if you google this text, You'll find answer.

short -> while mpps wait for U - when saving readed file, save RAM of mpps by WinHex, and find start of oryginal bin, save as file.

Becouse in ecu is normal soft, but it have markres 'NOREAD' and mpps, winols etc dont read this.

I do this with ecu EDC16 3 days ago , and it taked about 3 hours to find good start of flash map in memory.
Look easy, but it need some work

Splendid thanks for your help. I did try searching for that but didn't get any useful results. But I must have made a typo as I did it again and found everything I need !

Cheers
