Hello from Romania

Hello everybody! My name is Rares and I come from Romania. I currently drive a mk5 Golf with a BKC engine and I'm looking forward to learning interesting stuff about modifying maps and getting the most out of your engine. I hope that someday I'll be able to modify my car without ruining it. I also hope that I'll find help here when I'll need it.

Incepem cu inceputul...trebuie sa ajung la 3 postari ca sa pot downloada materiale si sa ma apuc sa invat :geek: . Apoi modul de conectare la ecu...am gasit un galletto 1260, exista variante mai bune? mersi si o zi faina

Sorry :). For the english speaking readers around here: I was asking if galletto 1260 is any good and whether there are better options for R/W and our fellow member bogdanwmw has given us some options. My first question is, are there any advantages when using BDM? Thanks!

Hi mate,
by far, BDM is 100% safe, but for your BKC engine can use Galletto 1260, MPPS or other cheap tools .

Rares, i'm also in the phase of buying a tool for ECU read/write. Did You already bought one?
I'm chosing between galletto 1260 and mpps...

you might want to be careful when choosing your obd2 flashing tool, i've bought an galletto 1260 from ebay.de and it was a cheap clone and i had to modify the .exe file that came with it because it would not recognise the serial number of the chip placed into the OBD2 end of the cable.
