hardware for beginner

Postby FABIO996 » Fri Oct 24, 2014 10:45 am

Hi,
I am a beginner and i want to do ecu tunning my hobby.
I think I should start by trying to read the ecu, make clones ...
I'm considering buying Galletto 4 V54, BDM100 + BDM Frame, MPPS v16 to play most ecu.
I need your advice:
Could you give me a list of ecu that I could read without problem with this hardware equipment? or tell me what to buy?
I can train me on the ECU I have in stock as sid801A, sid803A, EDC15, edc15c6, EDC16 ...
Excuse me for my bad english !
Thanks

Start from BDM BDM100 + Frame, and step by step.

If you beginner , you should start by EDC15 . BDM100 not work this edc15. I think galletto 4 best choice for you.

For example :

edc16 -> ?
edc17 -> ?
sid801 -> ?

...
...

Thanks

edc15 -> Galletto via obd or boot mode. BDM not work!
edc16 -> Galletto via obd or BDM .
edc17 -> Galletto via obd or boot mode.
SID 801/801A/802 -> galletto Boot Mode or OBD. BDM not work!
sid803A -> Galletto via obd or BDM.
And more much ECU.
Galletto includes BDM.

I recommend for beginners EDC15P ECU VAGEDCsuite and MPPS interface. It is a good way to learn the process of modifying the firmware and maps after the identification of values.

Yes, this is the same that I use. Works good and great thing about VAGEDITsuite is that it explains the maps.

Would you suggest clone or original to start off with?
