Golf 6 2.0 TDI 140 cbab - Stage 1

Postby Ecogti » Mon Sep 11, 2017 8:39 pm

Hi,

can you guys check if this is good?

I am planing to get about 390-400nm and 180hp with this remap, can I achieve it?
Car: Golf 6 2.0 TDI CBAB CR 140hp
EDC17cp14

I changed following maps:

Drivers wish limiter
Drivers wish
Torque limiter
Boost pressure map 1, 5 and 8 (these were the ones with the highest values)
Boost limiter
SVBL
and smoke map (changed it to get 18:1 at full throtle, also changed torque limiter and boost map to get about 18-19:1)

Any response is appreciated, thanks.

Hi mate,
No power gain in your mod file,ECU will not inject more fuel as stock file. You're far away from 180HP.Only ten maps moded!!!!This ECU need more than few maps moded.Somewhere on net floats an EDC17 tuning guide.Maybe will help you.

hi,
this is very poor modification but keep up reading and do not stop learning.
That ecu requires lot of modification to be totaly unlocked - all needed limiters and also target + calibration values.

For some very basic optimisation (tuning), considering how much you will increase toruqe/power you need to change at least those maps (sorry for terminology i wrote it very fast):

for little bit more advanced tuning you need at least twice time more maps to be recalculated and altered properly (also axis)...
also consider that different sw numbers can have different more or less code / limiters and also other maps...

This is correct, to tune edc17 takes time, it takes time to find maps, it takes time to make a proper map pack and it takes long to tune it

First of all, thank you all for your help, really appreciated!

I flashed this tune to my car, and did a log-drive with vcds.
I am getting 65-66mg/stk injected, in the torque limiter I am asking for 68, but I dont think those 3 mgs are going to be a problem.

But I am not a proffesional, and after your answers I dont know if I should drive with this tune or flash back the ori file.

The only reason I didn't touch the other maps is, because the axis were already high enough, for example the duration map has an axis with 78mg injection quantity (I ask for max 68mg), thats why I didnt touch them or rail pressure map, they were allready set high enough.

The car runs really smooth, the only 'problem' I got is, that when I accerelate and get off the gaspedal quickly I hear a 'sshhhh' from the turbo. Is this a problem? Nice sound though :)

What do you guys say? Flash back the original file or just drive this way?

Thanks in advance :)
