I have 2 ECU`s:
a) 028 906 021 C, 0 281 001 170/171
b) 028 906 021 AF, 0 281 001 308/309
Both are from vw golf 3 1.9tdi

ECU (a) is without immo, i think original because both ic`s are stock B58196. ECU (b) have immo.
So my question - can i resolder B58196 from ecu (a) to (b), and use it, or only way is to reprogramm ?

One more question - B58196 is ROM type( not rewriteable)?

You can put the bones to a new computer and it will work. These are SPROM memory if you want to program it you need to have new art.

B58196 = 93c46, so must be rewrittable
