FGTech Galetto v54 problem writing EDC17

Postby vmaksy62 » Fri Aug 01, 2014 8:19 pm

I try using FG Tech Galetto v54 on EDC17. it reads all - eeprom and flash (int and ext) but write only eeprom. when I try to write flash it says that checksum is not available and stop writing. is it possible to get checksum module for edc17 for this device? or may be another solution for this problem?
thanks.

Let's check read out first ,attach it . These are pretty easy to be done no "modules" are there or needed. Have you ever done other similar type with your tool ?

I just bought and use it on this ECU. i did wright EEPROM with it, but on int flash i got message that no checksum is available and this file had to be send to technical support. But file i tried to write was read from another ECU with the same number and without any modification. It shows me info about this file with checksum. As i understood when no checksum module for the ECU installed FGTeh Galetto does not allow to write file.
I attach the int flash file, it is not modified. It was saved by FGTech Galetto without extension. I add extension ".bin" as I could not upload file without extension - forum site refuse to do it.

It might be your OS problem also. Did you try on other laptop? Tool doesn't have problem with this ecu and cheksums them just fine. It's tprot 7 soft on it so be careful don't try via OBD.

Could somebody check my CHK folder(see attch) - if there is a checksum module for EDC17? i do not see anything that yas EDC17/MED17 in the name of the module. Also i upload screenshots what i have when i tried to write file. May be someone got experience with that.
thanks.

I assume that you are trying writing internal flash? This one needs only external flash read and write
