Egr -off, keep asv, fabia BLT 1.9

Postby Tonysandberg » Sat Sep 03, 2016 1:01 pm

Hello,
Im trying to delete my egr on my skoda fabia rs with 1.9tdi, engine code BLT (edc15p+)
I will raise the values in the regular egr maps to 850
Do I need to mod the hysteresis or switch map when I want to keep the function with the anti-shudder valve?
Maybe only the hysteresis
The questions came up due to having a edc15p+ ECU that would be different from regular edc15p having the hysteresis maps for egr.
(file is available in rate my tune section)
Regards, Tony

What do you base this info on?

i have done this mod in normal egr map already and It is normal procedure on most edc15 ecus but this is edc15p+ same as in many Seat Ibiza sport, but they have hysteresis and switch map also and have a bad habit of throwing dtc if you only make this mod( seen in several threads on here and other ecu forum)
I am guessing the switch map modification is needed when removing both egr and asv due to the BLT having an electric asv contrary to older/other PDs having a vacuum regulated asv together with the egr valve.
But when removing only egr valve it should be enough with normal egr map and hysteresis or just normal egr map.

So answering my own topic with updates, i have raised the values and tried this solution and i still get egr dutycycle 20% so I will must look in to hysteresis since i do not want to use switch due too keeping asv.

This is a logg from the result of raising values.

I have now driven over 600km and not gotten a dtc on egr regardless of what the egr function says in vcds so i guess it does work with only raised values when you keep the ASV.
