EGR OFF EDC16C34

Postby Diestevar » Fri Oct 25, 2013 10:56 pm

I'm going to disable the egr of my car. But in the past, i disable the egr with a blind gasket.
If i now make egr off in the ECU with the hysteresis map. I will continue having the error "Air above the setpoint measured"
Excuse me for my bad english but i can't translate the error better. In spanish is "Aire medido superior a la consigna". I can read the error with a LEXIA.

Ok, thanks "Biggie" :D

After read it i think that, if i close the egr in the ECU soft. it can't give me an error because it is closed and it should not read the egr air passage.

thanks again!

if you do egr off with hysteresis map, you will not get airflow error, but you can't disconnect your egr(and it should be in working order). If your egr is broken you'll get another error P0409

Try to replacement your broken egr valve: with a resistor to solenoid pins and a trimmer to set zero the egr position

Thanks to all! :D
The EGR valve of my car it's working ok.
I'm asking for the airflow error because in the past, i put a gasket blind to close egr. So if i close the egr with the hysteresis maps, i read that egr never close at 100% and always have a minimum airflow.
So the gasket blind never allow the minimum airflow.
is it truth?
