EGR Danger on 2.2HDI?

Postby bigjohn333 » Fri Nov 22, 2013 2:47 pm

I've heard blanking off an EGR on 2.2 406/C5 HDI and removing the air dosers can lead to premature Head gasket problems.

Is this true?

I drive on 220hp and 422nm without airdosers, heatexchangers, egr, cat, fap for at least 150.000km without any problems with exactly the same engine (2.2 HDI, 4HX)

My Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI is running just fine. I do not think it is a problem.
