AUM '01 Skoda Octavia 1.8T 20V

Hello, I am a complete newbie to ECU Tuning etc.

Is it possible that someone could give me a generic stage 1 tuning file for my car for free and that it'd actually be easy enough for me to install with the use of a cable from ebay, free software and a laptop? I know that the proper way to do this would be to shell out 400 euro for a revo remap, however i was wondering if there's a free alternative to it.

Thanks all of you

You have a lot of great tuners in your country, ex: Revlimit.

How can I pull my original file? What do I need in order to do that?

Also, I do know there's lots of known tuners in my country, it's just that since 400 euro is a month's salary for lots of Greeks, I'd rather try to see if it's possible to do it for free. Question : is it possible to somehow find and flash the stock map of a 180hp 1.8T vag like the Octavia vRS or the Golf GTI edition 25? Would there be any problems if we did that?

thanks for your time all of u

if you ask if someone could tune your car, we need the file of the original ecu maps.
You need a Laptop, an OBD2 KKL (=K-Line) cable and a software for that.
I recommend you buying the software with the cable in one pack. I was reading the ecu of my 1.8T (Golf 4 GTI) with the software MPPSv13.

But everything costs money. If you can't afford it, then let it be. With the equipment above you can just read/write your ecu, but you still can't get more power if you don't have much knowledge about your engine. ;)

=> You can't get more power for free.

Thank you very much for letting me know. Have you got any ideas about the 180hp files? Thank you

I would have a similar question. What "affordable" hardware and software would need I for a 2002 (generation 99-02) seat ibiza cupra 1.8t 20v AYP? Considering that I would find a suitable tuned map for my car ..
