Audi 1.9 AFN map review

Postby d1maf3ar » Fri May 29, 2015 8:14 am

Hello!

I have studied ECU remapping for some time now and i have made a remap file for vag 1.9 AFN 110hp/81kw engine. Before i go and try it on my car, please, can someone take a look if its any good and give me some tips what to change.
I know that 5-speed clutch is going to slip with too much torque, but does someone know what is the safe limit?

Files are here

Thanks!

Why Boost atm limit and boost request are bigger than svbl ? Put svbl to 2300 and you`ll be fine, map is almost good.
You can extend values to 55 mg

So, i couldnt wait and tested my map before any other mods. Works good, but smokes under heavy acceleration. I think more boost 2-3000rpm will solve it.

Anyone else care to share any thoughts?

Today i logged turbo buust with vcds and i got a steady 22psi. What is max safe limit for vnt15 turbo?

Also, if id like to create eco map, how should i tune it then? Current map was all about power.

Around 1.25 - 1.3 boost maximum.
For economy block EGR and add some advance in cruising area.
AFN is already very economical.

Ok, edited ecu now has SVBL 2300, EGR is already blocked and edited in ecu. 22psi in vcds is safe then?
How much advance should i add in SOI maps? Cruising area is around 1900-2200rpm.

Also, i'd like to lower rev limiter to lets say 3000rpm(for MOT-s time, these guys out there are revving stuff like no tomorrow.) How can i achieve that, just 0 all IQ at certain rpm?

If you count only on theory youll never remap your car.
You must test, add +1 +2 +3 SOI etc, and test the feeling, compare fuel economy.
Rev limiter on stationary ?

Rev limiter will be in different map, before MOT i'll just flash rev limiter tune and after flash it with normal map. Car can handle full revs but it just hurts me when they floor it for 20+ seconds to get their readings.

Well in torque limiter just go with 0 from what rpm you need to limit.
For example starting with 3000 put 0 mg of fuel.
