I already made first tune. Up to 70mm3.
Only changed torque limit, smoke limit , dw and iqvstemp limit.

Now i want to try 80mm3. But it wont inject 80 if is not defined on SOI and duration , right ?
Why is it risky ? How did u learn ?

I did a maximum of 99mm3 and 25 degrees at 4500-5000 rpm, 1400 bar. 2.4jtd

Deman i would be so grateful if u can explain me things with SOI , RP and duration .

Here are my maps : http://imgur.com/a/YzgiK
I also found rail limit map and svrl

Why in soi map all values after 55mm3 are same ?
Which maps do i need to modify in order to be able to inject 80mm3

How do u calculate duration ? Do u use linear interpolation between existing values on duration map ?
How do you calculate SOI for 80mm3 ?

Whats the best EOI ? How do u calculate it ?

Thanks

After 55mm3 soi is the same, because In the drain the fuel does not exceed 55mm3. And the developers scored on it.
DW, TL, IQ temp, smok.
Did not apply interpolation. Since It can be seen that the duration of 70 mm3 has disproportionately higher values. And at 1400 bar there is a failure of duration. +10mm3 ~ +14% duration.
Eoi <5°.

What u mean by "drain" ?

Do i need to change drain to add more than 55mm3 and than adjust SOI
or i can just leave it as it is and add SOI for 80mm3 with same values as soi for 75mm3 ?

About duration , I see really higher values for 70mm3 .If i do not use interpolation how I calculate duration then?

Maybe u can show me some example ?

Thanks for help

linear interpolation its the best method to calculate duration if the 70 mm3 have inaceptable values you have to calculate using 50 and 60mm3 values to interpolate 80mm3

Do I also need to modify numbers for 70mm3 then ?
Also if duration for 70mm3 is wrong and i am now injecting 70mm3 can it do any harm to my engine ?

About rail pressure u said its 1500Bar max for this engine ? Do i just multiply numbers in rail pressure map until i get 1400-1500 and change rail limit map and svrl or ? How u do it ?

yo cant damage your engine for wrong duration calculation,in the axis chage the value 70 for 80 and calculate how im saying,1500 bar its the maximun of your rail pressure sensor but dont exceed 1440bar because when you press gas pedal harderon high revs always have pressure spikes and if the car exceed 1500 bar you got and error and probably your car stop, change the values you need in rail pressure maps to 1430 bar and change the single value to 1500 and youll be fine and the car feels smother
