1.9 tdi AHF VNT actuator movement to prevent sticking vanes.

Postby nexo112 » Wed May 31, 2017 3:38 pm

Hello,

I'm newbie at remap'ing :D My problem is that sometimes I like driving economically and turbo vnt mechanism tends to become sticking. I heared that newer PD models have some automatic movement to move vnt mechanism fully to prevent it sticking.

Is there a away I can make vnt mechanism to fully move at certain times on MSA15 ECU TDI AHF engine?

Thank you.

just open it once, clean it and the problem is hopefully solved for a long period :D

in vcds you have an option to do VNT gymnastic, but if its already too sticky, this may not help you.

i would suggest to clean the turbo and maybe change the actuator (a few euros compared to the price of a new turbo..), this are usually the common problems of the vnt15.

Turbo is fine, before I put it, the lever moved freely :D It's fine when I do some hard acceleration, it fixes itself, but there must be a way to make turbo lever move fully at sometimes automatically to prevent it stucking. Then I will not need to do hard acceleration and waste fuel. This is why I am asking for help to solve this problem. Before, I had vnt15 turbo, now I have gt1749va, but same thing happens...

I had cleaned vnt15 before and changed actuator, also.

like i said, try with vtg gymnastics in vcds, some people use it weekly to prevent turbo from getting sticky.
